“Book your holiday here, you will not regret it!!”

This hotel is more like a home away from home, than a hotel. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, making you feel like you're with family or friends. The rooms are comforatble and kept very clean, and fully airconditioned.
Its located only 20metres fron the warm waters of Bulabog Beach, with the winds blowing directly onshore. If you're a windsurfer or kitesurfer ( or you want to learn either), this is probaly the most excellent place to be. The hotel grounds incorporate a windsurf centre and a kitesurf centre, both of which are very friendly and welcoming too.
Bulabog Beach is on the windier and much quieter eastern side of Boracya Island, but only a short walk away from the famous White Beach, with all its shops, restaurants and night-life.
I have stayed here twice in the last year, and will definitely return again, without question.

“Lovely place to stay”

Reef Retreat is a fantastic place to stay if your into your kitesurfing/windsurfing.

The rooms are very clean and tidy and with quality styling. There is a decking area which is perfect for those afternoon cold beers after a day on the water. Its next to Ocean Republic who cater for all your kitesurfing needs.

15 minutes walk to the hustle and bustle of White Beach with shops and bars, Reef Retreat offers a quiet relaxing atmosphere to come back to.

“Great place. Top quality comfort and right on the beach.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 November 2010

This is the second time that I have been to Reef Retreat, which I guess speaks for itself. The whole setting is just great. Lovely gardens (not seen any so nice in Boracay), clean and comfortable rooms and great, relaxed service. Just perfect.

Claire and Matt (and Whitey the dog) do all that they can to make sure that your stay is as good as possible. Reef Retreat is in a great situation, being adjacent to a Starboard windsurfing centre and the Ocean Republic kite centre. White Beach is only 10 minutes walk away for massive range bars and food.

Not sure it could be much better!

I will be back.

“Great place to stay for kiting and/or surfing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 November 2010

For people who travel to Boracay for wind- and/or kite surfing the Reef Retreat Resort is the place to stay.
It is located just across a small street from the Bulabog beach and run by a very friendly couple who arrange for a perfectly smooth transfer from the Caticlan airport to the resort through one or two of their helpful staff.
Once there one feels at home immediately.
The rooms which are kept perfectly clean on a daily basis are located around a small green and feature sufficiently sized beds, a nice bathroom, air con, tv-set, a fridge containing soft drinks, beer and white wine and a terrace to relax on with a cold beer in hand after a great day of sports.
For people who ordered a room with breakfast the newly hired cook provides a really nice variety of tasty things to chose from and in the evening the bar offers a cozy place to have a drink, meet other guests and feel even more comfortable.
If you want to take a course in wind- or kite surfing the resort also has most capable and patient instructors along with top notch equipment ready to get you up and going in no time. Thanks again to Sarah the most excellent (and cute ;-) ) kite surfing instructor.

Overall the best value for money one can imagine.

“A friendly family run resort with good sized, well equiped accommodation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 September 2010

My husband and I stayed at Reef Retreat for 5 weeks during June/July 2010 - this being our fourth visit to the Island in 2 years having family living there. Whilst this was out of season it fitted our requirements ideally. Set in lush green surroundings whilst only being 100 metres from Bulabog Beach itself. Just a 10 minutes stroll to the busier tourist places around White Beach. The accommodation was very clean, very equiped (having opted for a Suite) and ideally suited our needs. Matt and Clair (the owners) made you feel extremely welcome and it's a bonus they live on site although all the staff and great and were only too willing to see to our every need. They were polite, personable and friendly. If you want a nice, relaxing time in good accommodation and lush surroundings this is the place. A real joy to have stayed here. Will definitely return.
