If you are looking for a place to stay in the beautiful island of Boracay, Fat Jimmy's is definitely worth a try. We got a standard room good for 2pax for P2,500/night with breakfast. The room was nice and clean but what annoyed me was the interior design of the cr. It looked messy. But at least the heater worked. Breakfast was yummy but they served plain rice instead of garlic. Service was great. The receptionist was really nice. I forgot to ask her name though. Oh and they serve 24/7 coffee and tea. I just don't like the location. It is a two minute walk to the beachfront but the alleys near Fat jimmy's is not safe at all. It is near the wet market so expect awful smell from the raw food. There were lots of tambays in the alleys. Imagine if you are wearing super short shorts. Anyway, I enjoyed my stay in Fat jimmys even if the place surrounding it is not safe. I still give this place two thumbs up! :)

We just need a place where we can leave our things, take showers, and sleep for two nights. We were given a 3d/2n accommodation with breakfast for only P2000 per person in our group, really cheap, so we made the downpayment right away. LOL.
Location is good because it's far from the beach front, we can sleep well without hearing all the noise from the bars. Didn't spend much time there since we're mostly outside by the beach during the day. Having a clean spacious room, comfortable big beds, working a/c, and shower is all we need, and we got it all! Will definitely go back.Ü

Room:
Last July 2009, I had a wonderful vacation at boracay with my fiance. We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days at fat jimmy's resort. Fat jimmy from outside seems to look native. They have small landscape infront of their restaurant that really looks nice. You can also see bamboo designs anywhere. When we get inside, The lady in front desk gave us a very warm smile and assists us to our room. We are headed to the 2nd floor and the very end corner of the hall. The sliding door of the room has a medium size cracked. The room is spacious, big enough for the two of us. The room has also yellow light that looks cozy at night. Well. I would say that I also love the comfort room! :D Its very clean, cute bath tub and nice interior! I'll rate the bathroom as 10! The view from the terrace doesnt looked good, There's a creek, a patio and trashes? Anyway, we don't stay there often and we dont smell stinks from inside.
Not to forget the ate who gave us the wifi code in the middle of the night! Thanks! Kahit its not working hours na, you still gave us the code!

Food:

They do not allow us to cook or lend a griller. But they allow us to borrow their utensils like plates, bowl, spoon, fork, knife, glass and even the sawsawan!

We stayed at Fat Jimmys during the peak of Feb 2008 (Chinese New year). Booking was easy and replying to emails were fast. I was given a family room for the price of a 2 double beds accomodation. It is a small hotel with a native setting. The accomodation includes daily bfast for 3 of us. It is abt 5 minutes walk to the beach, it is at station 2 so very close to D'mall and other restaurants. Getting there was easy.
View from one of the windows next to our toilet were residential houses (under costruction and it did not look good) we were worried abt the security of our room. But nevertheless we did not have any bad experience abt security. I agree with the dump site beside the entrance of hotel. Not only does it give a bad impression to the guests but I wish they can work with association there to move the dumping site to some other places. Although we did not smell the garbage while we were eating I think they should request to get rid of that dump site. On the positive side: the staff from the front desk to the security guard were all courteous. It was peaceful and quiet during our stay and since we are always out of our room we didnt mind to have these imperfections of the hotel.
