“EXCELLENT PLACE TO STAY”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 March 2011

We had an enjoyable stay at Sheridan Villa in June 10 of which we stayed for 14 days. WOW it was beautiful and like home sweet home. The villa is clean, comfortable and mostly it is so relaxing as it is long distance from the nite life.

Foreigners who are looking for a place that is peaceful, relaxing, this is the best place to stay.

Staff are excellent i have no complaint!

Breakfast i rather cook our own breakfast as its not enough serving for the 3 people and it didnt bother me at all as we here all happy with our stay.

My hubby cant wait to go back again sooooon.

To me staying in Boracay island for 2 days is not enough WASTE OF TIME to enjoy the holiday on the whole island.

“Tricked to staying in this hotel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 February 2011

I felt cheated and tricked! I spent about 22 thousand Pesos for a two nights stay accommodation that i thought was a 5 star hotel. I was convinced by a travel agent (my aunt's travel agent) that it is located either at station 1 or station 2. I was also told that the accommodation comes with 2 bedrooms with breakfast worth 600 pesos per person and that we will only have to add a few hundred pesos per child. Also, the package included pick up and drop off from and to the airport. I imagined a 5 star accommodation situated in between station 1 and 2, so i was more than willing to pay that much. However when we arrived, I was feeling confused after walking 10 to 15minutes to the hotel. I didn't think an expensive hotel would be that far. The neighbouring surrounding didn't look like the boracay i imagined. Upon arrival i asked where we were. I was told by the receptionist that we were in station three. I got even more confused cause it was not the hotel advertised to me. The receptionist told me a complete different story. I quickly called the travel agent who arranged our accommodation. Since it was our first time in Boracay, there were a lot of things i didn't know about the place. When I told my agent that there was some kinda of a mix up that we were brought in Station 3, she quickly changed her tone of voice and pretended as if she didnt know anything and told me to direct my concerns to the hotel admin manager in Manila. I attempted to speak to the manager but she refused to speak to me. After hours of trying to get my money back, the management of the hotel was unwilling to return even at least half of what i paid. They talked about policies which were never presented to me at the beginning. No matter how much i fought for a refund there was nothing i can do because they already have my payment and signature. Then adding insult to injury, the distance to everywhere else was a long way away. Imagine walking for hours to get a decent meal. It was terrible! I didn't go to boracay to lose weight, I was there to enjoy the place and not have all the trouble to find a good restaurant. Walking for the first time along the beach to find a decent inexpensive restaurant, I realized that the hotel must be so far away that even after 30 minutes, we couldn't even find a good restaurant. At this point, I thought the hotel must be right at the end of station 3. I asked other hotels or people around if they knew of Sheridan Villa Hotel. It's funny because a lot of people havent even heard of the hotel not even the locals. So here at the end of first day, i found that the hotel was indeed right at the end of station 3 were all local residents from angol live.Dragging two kids to walk so far did not help the situation at all. At the end of first day, I felt frustrated and annoyed. I wanted to move somewhere convenient for us but we were stucked in that place. I said to myself i will never stay in this hotel again. Never ever again. Firstly, there was only one room where we all squeezed in together. The expensive breakfast they offered was nowhere close to 600 pesos per person. It was not even enough for us. The breakfast arrived late that i always have to asked for it. It was as if I had to wake them up first so they can cook our breakfast. The bathroom stinks with pee. Molds in their bathroom and kitchenette. It was disgusting. They have nice furnishing but not good enough for the amount i paid. Yes the villas look nice from the outside but so does everything else in Boracay. The fact that it is at the very end of station 3, its unfair that i was charged so much for something that is only worth $1500 pesos and deceived to staying there. If i had accessed to the internet before committing to this hotel, I don't think I would have picked this hotel at all. I also found that there were a few other guests who thought that the hotel was at the high end of boracay. This is a warning to international travellers. DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL. There are a lot of nice affordable hotels in Station 1 & 2 or even at the boundary of station 2 and 3.

“kinda unfair”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 May 2010

I think this hotel is kind of unfair when it comes to "unintentionally" damaging their stuffs. We stayed in this hotel as if it was our real house and we took care every decorations and appliances etc. etc. Then, when we are about to leave the hotel and go back to manila, of course the staff inspected our hotel for damages, they said they just found a stain on our bedding. It was a very faded stain from the henna tattoo placed on my father's arm. Well okay, sorry for the damage and we are ready to pay for that stain. But this is the problem they charged us for Php 800 for just a single sheet bedding. I mean this is overpricing. WE are your customers HELLO! we are not other people. We came here to stay in your place being your beloved customer. We didn't intend to stain your precious bed cover. Well, it's done, but I'm warning you people to be very careful with their things. That's it. I am not convincing you not to go to this hotel but I suggest you be very careful.

“Great stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 May 2010

This was my second stay in Sheridan Villa. Last year I was here with my whole family of 5.
Children were teenagers and young adult. It was a great trip too and great stay.
Nothing can beat the comfortable roomy accomodation, comfort and peace here with the price.
Villa room is great!!! Fully functioning kitchen with dining and living room area fully airconditioned with a bathroom and another room with two beds that can accomodate four with aircondition and bathroom,(both bathrooms have hot water). The building is newer I guess less than six years old. They just repainted the rooms this year as I could still smell the it. Housekeeping was effecient for daily room clean and change of towels.
Their breakfast was repeatitive but we did'nt mind coz it is home made and very fresh.
The beach area was about 2-3 minutes away. Very good swimming beach, clean, clear with white sand. Not crowded at all time. Occasionally found ourselves alone swimming specially in the morning. This accomodation is in Station 3 which means 10-15 minutes walk from main action or party area in Station 2 but we loved it coz we can have our peace when we want..
The staffs were effecient and hardworking. The booking through their webpage and payment was reliable. Good job guys.
