“Nice hotel with good service!”

This hotel is a comfy one, where you can chill after you've been to the beach all day. They gave us a good service, even though not all spoke very good English. It's about 5 minutes walk to the white beach, just straight down from the hotel.
The pool is quite small, and it's only one table and 2 chairs there, so no sunbeds. We weren't there that much.
One things that's kinda stupid is that there is a glasswindow between the bedroom and the bathroom, so you can see when your roommate takes a shower or goes to the loo.

Stayed here for 14 nights, quite a long time, but the hotel was good.
Just one thing, if you order breakfeast: speak up! The one waitor is really not that good in English, and we got our order mixed up many times.

“noisy, noisy, noisy”

The Erus Suites is located directly at the (only) main road on Boracay. This fact and the special shape of the hotel make restful nights impossible. The Erus is shaped like a U, facing the road with the open part and thereby collecting all the noises and reflecting and multiplying them inside. Also during my entire stay there were serious construction works ongoing, from early morning to about midnight. No chance at all for sleep during this time.
Confronted with the annoyance reception declared that owner had ordered the construction workers to finish quickly, regardless of nighttime work and quality of rest of the guests.
Hmmmmm.
There is a small pool also inside the hotel, which was dirty and completely free of any pool beds or even pool chairs. I have never seen anybody going into the pool.
The beach is a 10-minute-walk away, of course the White Beach is the attraction of Boracay. There is also breakfast included in the room rate which is sufficient at best.
What else? WIFI is available, but not working in the rooms, only in the open-air lobby. The rooms look very good and new on the hotel website but in reality are quite worn-out. There is a glass partition between the shower/restroom and the bedroom which means you must feel comfortable with your roommate watching at least the shadows of you taking a dump or cleaning your private parts.
To me, Boracay is worth returning. The Erus defintely isn´t.

“Terrible...”

The Erus hotel's ads and photos are extremely misleading! I moved to this hotel to be closer to the beach, however... It is one of the farther hotels from the beach and right on the busy main drag. Staff, while they are friendly, were extremely unhelpful and overall terrible customer service. The lock on my door didn't work, my tv was broken- the cable box for it downstairs in the staff room, no wireless in any rooms that aren't on the first floor- meaning i sat on the lobby floor to use my computer, unbelievably noisy- particularly when I was there there was construction on the hotel.. Also meaning if you were to use the pool, there would be 30 philipino men staring. The rooms are very unique and very beautiful, overall I would say it was clean, maybe not to north American standards, but definitely good for Asia. Be cautious! I noticed numerous men returning with local ladies... Seems to be a popular area for that kind of thing.

“A reliable friendly hotel in a tourist destination”

On our recent trip to Boracay, our initial hotel didn't work out. We stayed at the Villa de Oro for two nights and was not very comfortable there and we moved to the Erus. I really like the Erus - you are met with welcome drinks and warm towels, the rooms are nice , and the staff are friendly and will help you with anything that you need help with. The rooms have hot/cold showers with rain water shower heads, you get towels for the beach, choice of several different breakfast options every day and video rentals for the evening. What more could you ask for?

Room Tip: We always choose rooms in the back of the hotel to get off of the street - which can be noisy.

“Just what we were looking for”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 November 2011

My two friends and I travelled to Boracay for our first time over Halloween. We found the deal on Hotwire for $80/night/person as a bit of a last minute trip. The people working at the front desk were super friendly and helpful giving us suggestions of activities we could do while we were there for four days.
The three of us just sucked it up and shared the King size bed together which was very comfortable. We didn't want to pay the extra bed fee. I think the air conditioning really made our comfort possible sharing the bed. We didn't spend a whole lot of time in our room except to sleep but there was plenty of room for us. Our room was a little on the noisy side because we were on the second floor facing the street but it was not unbearable (I am a heavy sleeper though and can fall asleep anywhere). As well there is a pool at the hotel. It is a nice temperature and very clean but there was construction going on to extend the building so it is not the most luxurious of pools I found.
I suppose that the hotel was a little walk away (15 minutes) from the White Sand Beach but it was nice to get out and about but there are tricycles running all the time that can take you to d*mall in only a few minutes. We felt very safe walking around (all females) late at night back to our hotel.
The breakfast that we ate every morning was fairly in expensive and very delicious! THere is a set list of items to choose from, get the banana pancakes!
We would recommend this place for those travelling on a budget who are not looking for a hotel with all the bells and whistles but a friendly, clean and comfortable place to rest your head at night.
