The plus side:
1. The hotel has a fantastic view of the greenery.
2. The service was excellent. The staff was friendly and very accommodating.
3. Very near puka beach and when we went there, very few guest was at the puka beach. It was like having the beach to ourselves. Going to puka beach was very easy as the staff will ask you what time you want to leave and time you will be picked up.
4. The infinity pool has a great view and looks very very nice.
5. No problem asking for extra towels by the pool side.
The down side:
1. It is very far from white beach (approx 10mins drive). You have to schedule and sync your activity at the white beach with the time of the shuttle service so that you don't have to wait very long.
2. The shuttle service runs every hour even if there is already a long line waiting in the hotel lobby, no shuttle will accommodate the guests as guests will have to wait. The same goes for when you want to go back to the hotel. There is no staff to assist you in the D'Mall area and tell you how long the next shuttle will arrive.
3. It's a hike to go to your room. If you have difficulty walking or have children, better ask for the nearest room from the hotel lobby or else, you're gonna waste 5-10 mins just walking to your room. Now, if you are not able to ride the hotel shuttle service, you may opt to ride one of those tricycles or tuktuks to go to your hotel but those will only drop you to the gate and not the lobby, so its another 10-15 mins hike (its a steep hill) to reach the hotel lobby alone.
4. Room service takes 30mins. We ordered some food and it takes them 20-30mins to get it to your room and I think this is because the cafe is far from our room.
The so-so side:
1. The restaurant breakfast buffet was nothing special.
2. So with the food when we tried room service. Its not just worth your money. Expensive but does not taste good. And you will be forced to order since there is no near by restaurants that you are accessible.
Verdict:
I will go back here if only for the puka beach and to just relax and stay in the room. Also, if I would stay longer in Boracay (say about 1 week), I'll check-in here again. However, should I want to enjoy more of the white beach and the Boracay night life, I'll skip this and look for hotels nearer white beach
