I would not recommend this resort to any of my friends and relatives because of the high price this resort is charging for a 1 star beach resort. Not worth it especially the buffet.
Service: There were no housemaids to make your bed and clean your room the whole time we stayed there for 3 nights. Towels and toilet paper were never replaced.
Facilities: Although it has billiards and diving facility, it still lacks sports equipment like jet-ski, sail-boat, and para-sail or banana boat, etc. I was told that they can provide a jet-ski for Php3,500 per hour, only to find out that next door resort provides it for Php2,500 per hour.
Amenities: No swimming pool and jacuzzi. No television set in the rooms. No hot water for showers.
Beach: Although the beach is clean, there are no warning signs alerting swimmers to wear booties or rubber shoes due to sea orchins, sharp rocks, and shells at the bottom. My wife stepped on a sea orchin. It was quite painful.
Restaurant: The manager promised us Lechon for Saturday night's dinner, but it was never served. The buffet is all Filipino dishes and selection is very limited, it was more expensive than Boracay 5 star hotels. With all the coconut trees around the beach, they cannot even provide buko juice. My wife was very disappointed with the food. The good part about this is that my wife did not gain any weight.
Transportation: We were charged Php200 per person for a roundtrip to White beach via resort's jeepney. Local jeepney only charges Php15 per person per trip!
Few things I like about this resort:
View: Breathtaking and relaxing
Facilities: Free billiards
Transportation: We were picked up from our house and brought back to our house via airconditioned van. At Puerto Galera, we were escorted by a staff to Muelle to arrange our boatride back. This was a very big plus for this resort to provide this service.
