Great place to stay if you don't know Jakarta or speak Indonesian.
The hotel arranged our pickup from the airport which was excellent - saved us being mobbed by taxis people wanting to carry our bags, congestion, caios etc - fully recommend using the pickup service.
Hotel was good standard, clean, comfortable and service was great, very popular with local weddings. We stayed on the 18th floor so had a great view just watching the traffic madness below. Breakfast was excellent - with wide choice of western and indonsesian food.
The people on the front desk speak English and were very helpful -confirmed our next accommodation, booked transport, helped locate our missing bags, booked our room service menues for us - whatever we needed we would just go downstairs and ask.
The hotel is very close to a shopping centre which we just walked too.

They have different types of rooms (1 bedroom apartment / 2 bedrooms / 3 bedrooms apartment). Best place to gather with your family. Near to the Ciputra Mall, you can have a walk from Tropic to Ciputra.

well we did use this place we got it for idr 755.000 the room was made up of a small walking wardrobe and medium ensuite bedroom with bathtube and shower combo with loo and wash basin and very big wall mirror the dining room and open kichen are cool too but thers NO COOKER just microwave oven plates cups cutlery and cooler and sink hot and cold water if you want a cooker thay ask you to pay and extra idr 75.000.00 to 100.000.00 this fact is not even hinted at on ther paper work but room still good nice veiw of pool staff and nice but blue bird guys onsite(taxi service )are real bad thay dont want to take you anyplace near thay only want long jobs or multy drops so you have to go outa dn get other taxis out the front gate your self most times thers a big flat screen tv inside the main front room with lots of chanels sofa small table clean rugg and dinner table we did see outside that was a led sign saying ROOM FROM IDR 575.000.00 OR 555.000.00 NET ? this place is good and has larg pool free brekfast for 2 people good for family or couples we had help from rudy and yudis from front desk

Grand Tropic Suites Hotel is excellent for long time stay... Room Service is really appreciable .. Everyday i came to room and feel its just a new room... I stayed there for more than two months ..so i m also looking for cooking facilities.. & here i got everything for this... And I must say something about BREAKFAST. It's really really one of the best part of this hotel... another thing this is very near to three big shopping mall - Taman Angrek, Mall Chiputra and Pondok which are the main entertainment for the lonely travelers like me....
