I am from the US and i was very surprised to see a hotel priced so low but with so much quality. I stayed at the bumi wiyata for a week and i was very impressed by most of what they had to offer. Driving in i was a little nervous about the location, because the building on the main road did not look nice, but the hotel is set back from that all, its a calm get away from the craziness of the city. First off its beautifully landscaped and kept up very well, every employee i seen there was working if not helping guest of the hotel, then doing other tasks sweeping or cleaning, never standing around like i so commonly see in the US. The rooms had a little bit of a muggy feeling to them, but it was the weather and the huge bugs outside that make it impossible to open the windows. The bathrooms were not the best, but were acceptable, there was always hot water to shower in and everything was clean. The free breakfast was only okay, there was alot of food i was unfamilar with so i am not sure if it was suppose to be served hot or not but everything was warm not really hot not really cold. The pools looked nice and had lots of people playing in them when the weather was nice, but since the last 4 days of my trip it poured rain i didnt get to spend too much time swimming. Also the paint ball, we weren't able to do you must have a big group to play and we didn't have that, but the arena looked good. The only really bad thing was a wedding that took place on Saturday morning starting at 7AM just below us with very loud music making it impossible to even carry on a conversation without yelling over the music, there was many other off buildings the wedding could have been held in and not disturbed the other guests. but other then that morning the hotel was almost silent all the time. They even had a nice quiet lounge where i and others sat to read the newspaper or books with a girl coming by serving desserts and drinks, very nice atmosphere. Overall i couldnt complain much, the worst part of the trip was having to leave.
