G. Hyatt Jakarta is not exactly new. Checked into the Club Room. It did not give the awe factor when I last visited 5 years back, but reckon service standards and the staff are reasons to return. Breakfast spread was OK. Got my jacket dry cleaned and returned to me without. Hotel limo was good too. Overall a pleasant experience.

I travel to Jakarta quite a lot and this tends to be one of the main hotels I stay at, will be back again next week in fact. The hotel itself is well located, close to the main financial area and a shopping maill if you need to pop out to buy something or fancy eating something outside of the hotel without venturing too far. The hotel itself has a few different and pretty good restaurants however, as well as a couple of bars, so wining and dining there for a whole week if you're very lazy is ok too. The room service is good as well, promptly delivered, lots of options and good quality.

The service in the hotel is good as well, friendly and efficient.

The hotel is in a fairly good condition and pretty much what you would expect from a Hyatt hotel. The rooms are fairly spacious and tastefully decorated.

Especially with corporate rates I think the hotel is good value for what you get.

If I really had to find one gripe it would be that the airport transfers are a bit overpriced, but that is generally something you have to expect from hotels in general.

We stayed for 2 nights on the Club Floor (19th). Our room was current (came with iPod jack, flat screen and lots of electric plugs near the work station). However the room was a bit "rough around the edges" - there were little ants around the work space and more in the bathroom. There were random scratches and marks on the walls and the carpet felt like it could be a little cleaner. The sound proofing was not great - we could hear traffic noise from the street below pretty clearly. Also, the bed was super super hard - bordering on uncomfortable.

The service was good - whenever I called guest services, the phone was picked up within 1 or 2 rings and my questions and requests were always answered or resolved.

This was a GREAT stay in the hotel. The staff and the hotel was very good..
