For an Accor accomodation in city centre of Jakarta, 40 usd is quite a good value for money for a private room. The room is clean, the size is decent (about 15 m square incl. bathroom), the queen-size spring bed is quite good, the aircon is working well, and the 21 inch TV have some english channel (eg. HBO, AXN, etc). However the sound isolation is poor, since the rooms divider is not wall but only a wooden partition. If someone next door lean against the wall, you'll feel it.
Tough the bathroom quite small, but you get what you need (hot water, towels, soap, clean toilets). The sink and mirror are placed outside the bathroom (in the room). This is good if you have a roommate.
What lacked from this hotel is a cabinet in the room and more plugs. The room only have small table in the corner and a rack in another corner, with only 3 hanger below the rack to expose whatever you're gonna hang there. I think instead of placing two useless stoll beside the bed, it's better to put a small cabinet, where at least you can keep the bag or hang the clothes without really exposing it to the cleaner. As for the plugs, there are only two of them - one on the table and one above the sink. It's quite hard to charge your laptop while working on the bed.
Check in time is 2 PM and check out time is 12 PM. You need to pay the room in advance. Including if you extend the stay, you need to pay for the extension before 1 PM. No breakfast provided. You can buy one from starbucks downstairs or deli across the hotel.
Since I can access most places (CBD, Kuningan, sudirman, senayan, etc) from this hotel within 10 mins and about 3 dollars by taxi, I keep coming back to this hotel. Some convenient stores and hawkers next to the hotel also open for 24 hours.
Room Tip: Ask for a non-smoking room with a view (so you can get sunlight and fresh air). You need to ask for...
