We reserved the room three weeks in advance and informed them that we would be arriving on a late flight and would be checking in late - around 11pm. They told us that it would be ok to check in this late. When we called three days before to reconfirm that the room would be waiting there was no mention that we needed to pay anything in advance for the room. On the day of our reservation, they called and informed us that we needed to pay in full for the room before 6pm in order to keep the reservation, and they wouldn't accept our credit card. They wanted the payment as a bank transfer from the same bank that they use! How can we give them a transfer when we don't have an account at their bank and we are out of town? There was no mention of this when the room was reserved. We told them we would try to make a bank transfer, but we weren't able to. When we called back to tell them that the attempt to transfer was unsuccessful, they rudely informed us that all the rooms had been booked - so we were stuck with nowhere to stay! If they are going to require us to pay for the room in advance, they should have at least informed us when we made the initial reservation! Clearly this hotel has ridiculous reservation policies and is poorly managed.
