Well they claimed its a boutique hotel but I don't agree with it. The hotel itself is not very big, the room size is allright for HK standard. Selection for breakfast was poor, very little choices and the dining area is too small. Sometime they run out of seats and we need to wait. Pity for the waiter as she need to work alone for the entire dining area. Front desk service was ok, quick and efficient.

The hotel is clean and in a good area,I probably wont stay there again as it is expensive and the rooms are very small.

We stayed at The Fleming between Christmas and New Year's Eve. Yes, the rooms are small, but they're well planned. Great location in a funky area, close to the Star Ferry terminal, close to the metro, many and diverse restaurants around. Fleming Street is pretty sleepy, but it's only two blocks from the rowdiest street in Wan Chai. We never heard or felt encroached upon by the "entertainment" options. Desk staff is smart and helpful. They'll recommend specific restaurants and sights, or they will guide you to the best areas for what you seek. Free decent wine and munchies every evening in the lobby. Room had DVD players (DVDs available to borrow from the lobby) and a little console with thoughtful amenities such as plug adapters. A wonderful extra: Each evening when we returned to the hotel, we'd smell the scent of the enormous fir tree in the lobby. It was such a welcome and homey contrast to the very sleek, minimalist decor.

Hotel is just a 5 minute walk from Wanchai station n although it is near the entertainment district, it is nicely tucked away in a quiet section of Wanchai. After my first day at breakfast, the cafe staff remembered my beverage preference for the remaining days of my stay.What a lovely gesture.
It would be good though if the breakfast menu could be varied on a daily basis.That apart, this is definitely great value for money accomodation. The rooms are comfortable n large enough for you to relax in, unlike other HK hotels, unless you are prepared to pay top dollar.
