I have stayed here many times over the past few years and always find it to be excellent. The rooms are very generous in size, particularly for a Hong Kong hotel, with a wonderful bathroom and if you get the harbour side, you get a gorgeous view over to Tsim Sha Tsui.
My 2 young children stayed with me one time and the special effort they made for the kids was really great - mini fluffy bathrobes and slippers, a toy left on the bed for each of them and hot milk and a cookie provided for them each evening!!
Naturally, it does cost quite a lot to stay here but at least you do actually get what you are paying for here.
The 2 key rival hotels for me when I stay in HK are (1) the Mandarin Oriental - better service and more convenient location but much smaller rooms; and (2) the Upper House - more young and hip, with better room rates but being in Pacific Place, not as convenient for the true CBD if you are travelling on business.
