“Good Location - Convenient and Quiet”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

Lcoation is definitely the greatest advantage of the hotel. It is located in between 2 train station, each within 15 mins leisure walk with alot of shops along the way to make the walk feel even shorter as you shop and walk. It is also located just 2 mins' walk away fron the Ladies' Street Night Market, and with local eateries just next to teh hotel. You will be spoilt for choice with the variety available: Roasted poultry, claypot rice, beef noodle dim sum, dessert, etc. In partcular, there is a famous dim sum place known as "Hao Yun Lai" aka "Good Luck Comes" where queuing up for at least 45 mins is very common. As such, it is a good idea to go pick up a queue number first and rest in your room. Most of the eateries open till mid night or even after midnight on weekends, so there is no need to fret about being hungry. Because of the convenience of the location, It is also a good idea to return to the hotel to off-load your shopping bags, before you hit the streets again. There is also two 7-eleven store available just down the street.

Despite the convenience of being in a "happening" area, the hotel is quietly located at the end of a street so you will not be distrubed by the bustling activtivies going on well into the night.

Room is rather small (there is not much walking space available after we left out luggage in the room) however with the usual amenties and toileries provided. No bath tub though, Free Wifi is available but you must get the password from the reception first. Staff are polite, friendly and helpfu. There was an incident whereby the house keeping lady entered into our room after a knock to find us lazing on the bed. Immediately, she apologised and mentioned that she will come back later.

Overall, we are satisfied with our experience there, though a bigger room would have been ideal.

Room Tip: Corner rooms will be bigger.

“Great location in Mongkok”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

Stayed here again for three nights in January 2012. Was happy to see the hotel has had some renovations in the reception/lobby area and the rooms. According to the staff, the renovations were done July 2011.

Best feature about this hotel is its location - it is so close to all the shops and restaurants in Mongkok, and the Mongkok subway is a five minute walk (exit E2). You can walk to Mongkok East station in 10 minutes.

The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Housekeeping was fast and efficient with our requests for an adaptor and an extra blanket. TV channels were a bit limited - they had BBC, Discovery Channel, RT, and a few chinese channels. But no CNN or HBO. While the rooms are not large, I think they're decent by Hong Kong standards and for the price you're paying.

I would recommend bringing/buying your own toiletries as the ones provided by the hotel aren't that great. Mongkok is full of chemists and shops like Sasa and Bonjour that sell shampoo and toothbrushes, just pick some up on your first day there.

To get to the hotel from the airport, catch the airport express train to Kowloon, then catch a taxi to the hotel (HK$40).

I'd recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in the heart of Mongkok and have a comfortable room to return to after a day of shopping and eating.

“Right by monkok night market”

The hotel is situated 2 blocks away from MONKOK nijght market which is 1 of the highlights of a Hong Kong trip. But It is far from a subway station or a bus stop. The room is quite small but clean and the bed is quite hard, pillows were soft and t the duvet is great.

“Good hotel with the location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

The room and hotel service is good. I love this hotel for its location, it is not too far from the Ladies market. Around the hotel I tried many local foods which have very local taste such as noodle soup, Chinese ice tea, etc. The dinner buffet was so delicious however the breakfast was repeated the same everyday which was lack of choices.

“Very comfortable and quiet.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 November 2011

Was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Comfortable room, beds a little hard but ok. View from our room was nice, high floor. Very quiet considering being in the middle of bustling Mongkok. Restaurants aplenty once you stepped out the front door. Staff were very helpful. Five minute walk to MRT station. Ladies market very close. Temple street night markets about 10 minute walk. 2 blocks from Nathan Road. Good location.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor room.
