My family and I had a fun stay at the Gold Coast Hotel in Hong Kong. Though, it's a little out of the city and take about 20 mins by their shuttle to reach, it's very peaceful around the hotel. The view from the room is very nice as their is a habour behind the hotel and I guess all rooms have that view. Could be a bit better in service and friendlier staff.

We stayed for 3 nights over the Chinese New Year. This hotel is right on the beach with a fantastic view of the sea in front of it. It is far away from all the popular tourist attractions but the hotel provides a shuttle for HK$30 a person and it takes you to Tsim Sha Tsui in about 30 minutes. The hotel is well kept and clean, and the staff that include the front desk, concierge and cleaning maid are all very friendly and helpful. But....the bed is hard, the curtain doesn't open or close easily, and the worst part is the shower that doesn't stay at a constant temperature and my back almost got scalded.

I have booked one night for celebrating birthday of my gf. The place was good for citizens to enjoy a relaxed weekend. The pool inside and the beach were both lovely. Room was neat and the bed was satisfactory.
