The Good
- The hotel is facing the harbour.
- Stayed in an Executive Deluxe room. Got a good deal from Expedia, almost 80% off as compared from hotel's website... not sure if it was a pricing error.
- Complete toiletries
- Clean towels and linens

The Bad
- No WIFI like most hotels in HK
- Location is not ideal for tourist
- Got a partial view of the harbour - the outer side of the wide is dirty
- Tiny bathroom even in an Executive Deluxe room. It was the smallest bathtub I've seen in my life.
- Not that close from MTR - It's a good 5-15 minutes walk, which includes climbing on overhead walkways.
- Nothing to do at night.

Tips
- The hotel is near the drop off/pick up point for Ocean Park, The Tram and Macau ferry. It's more ideal to go their by cab rather than taking the MTR.
- If it's your first time in HK, I suggest you take the Hotelink Shuttle Service from the airport. It will drop you off infront of the hotel
- If you have a late flight, you can leave your baggage with the concierge until you are ready to leave.

We stayed here during the Chinese Lunar New year celebrations, Jan 22-25. It was a good value, $150/night as we booked well in advance before prices went up for the holiday. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Lobby is nice, as are the rooms and service was excellent. Free complementary bottled water in the room, as well as stocked mini-fridge. Had to pay for the water in the fridge, but we just called front desk daily and they brought more free waters, and quickly. Room was clean and modern, but small. Our view was on the back, facing the back of two buildings, so the Harbour view we did not have, however we kind of expected that. Hotel is nice, although the hallsways could use some updating. Its within walking distance to Wan Chai station and Wan Chai ferry terminal. Not much going on in Wan Chai, in retrospect we would have stayed in Kowloon (Tsim Tsa Shui area (sic) side as we spent a lot of time there, or closer to Central area. We walked to the metro station everyday, which wasn't too far but a little closer would have been perfect. Overall our stay at the Harbourview was nice, and Hong Kong is an amazing city. Fireworks show was incredible! A trip to remember.

Excellent and very helpful staff - understood English,which is rare in HK. Extremely efficient. Neat, clean room, comfortable (though smaller than expected) bed wih excellent view of the harbour. The room and the bathroom were small, but functional. The harbour view makes the room seem bigger than it is! The buffet breakfast is also rather nice. Booked this hotel last minute, and it turned out to be better than expected. Its a great place if you want to stay out most of the day and need a place to come back and crash. Not a great place if one would like a luxury place to unwind. Not great food on offer for room service.
On the wishlist: I wish they had a spa, a pool, free wifi (the wifi charges are enormously expensive). Also calling IDD direct from the hotel was too expensive because they had a service charge. Also the MTR station is a tiring 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. Would recommend using taxis rather than the metro. The hotel staff is usually more than happy to arrange taxis for travel.

The rooms are old and small. The beds are small. The amenities are poor and the staff are not friendly. The concierge service is average. The view is nice overlooking the Harbour but the windows are triangular and old and they only give you a side view of the beautiful Harbour. On the other hand, the location is great, its 2 mins walking from the Hong Kong Exhibitions center, 2 mins away from the Ferry to Kowloon, and 5 minutes away from Wanchai Metro station. I wouldn't recommend the Hotel restaurant. The bathrooms are small and annoying. Don't chose this hotel unless your there for the exhibitions or you get a really good deal.
