We are attending the STATIONERY SHOW at the HK CONVENTION CENTER from Jan 9 to 12, 2012 and we are staying at SOUTH PACIFIC HOTEL. I am very happy with the room which is definitely nice and neat. Not to forget that it is very comfortable. It is about 5-8 minute walk to Times Square. One good thing is that the hotel offers FREE WIFI and the speed is just perfect. It is a BIG PLUS for travelers whether on vacation or on business trip to check some important emails. The hotel is also very near two 7-11 STORES and several restaurants. I will recommend SOUTH PACIFIC HOTEL very much!!!!

My second time staying in this hotel. Like the location and the hotel room is clean and comfortable.

The previous reviews didn't inspire confidence in this hotel, but we stayed here over Christmas when prices were high, and we got a good deal on the Urban Grand Corner room which was the biggest in the hotel, and had complimentary breakfast and lounge access. The room was a bedroom with separate lounge and big bathroom, pretty huge by Hong Kong standards. The "executive lounge" was pretty ordinary. Free flowing self-serve alcohol and soft drinks were good, but apathetic staff and very thread bare snacks (cheese sandwiches and few biscuits are a pretty poor effort) were disappointing. Breakfast was okay - bacon, waffles, sausages, toast, cereal, juice, coffee, tea and a few pastries, along with a woman to make scrambled eggs and omlettes (and omlettes that looked like scrambled eggs) but hardly "executive lounge" quality.

Excellent location 5 minutes from Times Square and a short MTR and tram ride from Central and Star Ferry. Concierge staff at the hotel were excellent, very attentive and ready to help. Overall the experience was very good, but the executive lounge experience really needs an overall!

I stayed here during my trip with my family and friends. The hotel is only 5 mins walk to Time Square and Causeway Bay's MTR station and 15 mins taxi ride to the ferry terminal. Free wifi in the room is a plus point.

The downside is that the hotel room is really small. I had a hard time fitting my family (2 adults and my 2 yr old) into the room. The bed is small too. I'm about 5'10" and I find my feet dangling on the edge of the bed. The TV is also very small ( i think it's a 21" or less). To make matters worse, the image that appears on the screen is even smaller ; i.e. somehow, the images are cropped smaller (i think more or less 17"). So, I have to squint my eyes to watch the TV. Since it was a weekend, I was hoping to catch a game of BPL on the TV, however, to my disappointment, the hotel does not provide any channel that broadcast football matches. The bathroom is also small but clean.... I had a hard time trying to give my kid a bath.

This reinforces my believe that the hotel rooms in Kowloon side is normally bigger than its counterparts in Hong Kong island.
