Small room for individual. But good location for all things like sopping, eating if you need jain food their are few hotels like wood land, swagat, branto. you get veg and jain food.

Excellent location, crappy hotel. I thought that the Ramada chain would provide some level of quality. I was wrong. This hotel is in dire need of renovation, has tiny rooms, smelly hallways, lousy single beds… the list goes on. I’ve never stayed in a place where even the ceiling was ugly and needed renovating.

We booked a supposedly “superior” triple room. They’d crammed a foldaway bed into a room so small there wasn’t enough room to open our suitcases. When we complained, the staff were very nice and upgraded us to a “deluxe” room. The only difference I could see was that the room was fractionally bigger, there were no holes in the carpet and only a little bit of mould in the bathroom.

We discovered that our son’s feet were hanging over the end of the foldaway bed. He is only 5 feet 7. We complained again only to be told they are a small hotel. An uncomfortable foldaway and two single beds – was this really the best they could do?

Years ago we stayed at the YMCA next to the flashy Peninsula Hotel. I wish we’d stayed there this time too.

Professional Staff from start to finish. Every Question I posed about the immediate area was answered to the point , clear and concise. Every request I made was promptly taken care of. Not a whole lot of frills, just good service at a reasonable price.

The rooms are alright-- small, not much view, so-so interiors. The staff is friendly enough, and quick in giving extra blankets and towels. Internet is free for the first 15 minutes in the computers in the lobby. Wi-fi internet is available in the rooms though for a fee. 30HKD for 1 hour, 40HKD for 3 hours.

What's great about the Ramada Kowloon is that it's in a good shopping area. Granville Road is a haven for all things clothes shopping. Looking for quirky or indie finds? DNA mall is nearby (Cameron Road). Here you can find so many clothing brands by local designers.

Head down Granville then cross Nathan Road and you'll end up in Haiphong Road. The small streets (Lock Road and Hankow Road) you'll come across there offers a lot of good and cheap restaurants. Walk down Haiphong some more and you'll end up in Canton Road. Swanky, high end shopping can be found there.

I also love that you just cross Chatham Road (then several other streets) and you'll end up along the banks of Victoria Harbor. Along Salisbury Road I got to jog every morning. My route takes me along Avenue of the Stars, then through the Art Museum then the ferry harbor, then back along Nathan to get back to Granville. It's a great way to jog I think. The views of Hong Kong Island are spectacular.

Oh yeah, it's nice to stay in this area as well because Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station allows you access to any point in Hong Kong.
