i stayed here for 4 nights during the new year, it wasnt too bad, we did pay more than usual though, everywhere else increased their price during new year anyway, but this hotel still offered reasonable price!!

love the free wifi, i could use whatsapp to message my friends back home. it was nice and easy to use. the room is clean. we stayed at the premier room,it was alright, but def good for the amount of $$ we paid. location is like 5 mins walk to the mtr, so convenience . we had breakfast at the roast duck cafe opposite the hotel for like $22HKD, it was yummy and worth it!! and i forgot to mention a 7/11 next door to the hotel as well, can always stock up water fr there. def come back to this hotel again.=)

I would definitely recommend the City Garden Hotel. The Room was clean, well designed, reasonably spacious with free WFI. The hotel is in the suburbs but in a convenient location close to a MTR station and Starbucks! I can't praise the reception staff enough who were extremely helpful when I had to rebook flights at last minute following a cancellation

Stayed in Nov 2011 for one night, friendly staff at the reception and concierge, very helpful and efficient. Check-in and check-out was efficiently handled and no delays, nice and friendly.

The room is a little run down needs a facelift but comfy and has all what you need. The only issue is that the laundry service, if you are on a business trip and need something to pressed urgently, forget it as the hotel does not have their own laundry. I had to go outside the hotel looking for a laundry to press my suite and was not successful. Finally the concierge helped thru the hotel to get my suite pressed and delivered before my meeting, I was not sure if they would be able to deliver it back to me on time but it came and that was a great service by the hotel! It was a little nerve racking thou!

The location of the hotel is slightly isolated from the city, there are lots of shops and a mall next door, also few restaurants outside but not much. The breakfast restaurant service is very poor, I was waiting to be seated but the hostess decided to take someone behind me and I was lost for words! The breakfast spread and quality was good.

I would recommend this hotel as the service and friendliness of the reception, concierge and housekeeping is great! I would definitely stay here again.

there is nothing negative at all I can say about the City Garden Hotel. I arrived way too early yet the check-in-staff did everything to hand over the room to me as soon as possible. The room had a more than decent size, full bathroom ameneties, there is free WIFI and free DSL internet in the room, the tv is a flat screen, the minibar is well stocked. 2 free bottles of water. The only thing missing was a hairdryer and a bathrobe.
Also the location is superb, a 3 minute walk from the nearest MTR station. There is a free shuttle bus offered by the hotel to local attractions and a free shuttle bus every 20 minutes to the Airport-Express train station. I was feeling good inside and had easy access anywhere, makes it sort of perfect place for me. Exceptionally friendly staff, too.
