The best thing in this hotel is its location. There were lots of bars & restaurants surrounding the hotel which I don't remember being there last I was there in '08 (I actually remember the street to be chaotic).

Lobby looks & smells nice...if only the reception people were as nice & friendly - it would have been perfect. At 330pm, room is still not ready so we were made to wait - they need to replace their sofa set, they're old. We stayed in a (really small) Executive room on the 16th floor so no problem about noise. As for the view, forget it - there's none. Also, I found the bed too hard but my Mom thought it was just right. notwithstanding the obviously old carpet, the room was seems clean. There's complimentary bottled water too.

Breakfast buffet costs HK$88++ /person. Just right but nothing special. Considering that we only stayed overnight, I think it was not so bad. We were out most of the time anyway. Getting a cab is not a problem. MTR is near. Shopping and dining areas are within walking distance.

On my trip to through Asia it was the most expensive and the worst hotel I had. The welcome was a cold one by a young clerk, who wanted a 1000 HKD extra as a deposit (in addition to the payment of the room rate). But the worst disappointment was the room itself, which was an old and very worn one and which was not clean. In the bath there were hairs from my predecessor everywhere. The adequate price for it would have been at half the rate I paid (ca 120 EUR).

I just stayed 4 days in Guang Dong Hotel in Tsimshatsui and its the best stay I had in Hong Kong for a reasonable budget. Its not the cheapest, and they somewhat rip you off for internet but compared with previous stays in Hong Kong that werent actually that much cheaper, I got a nice, clean room with all the regular facilities. Nothing out of the ordinary but nothing missing either.

Location is also great - easy to be reached by car/taxi as well as less than 5 minutes walk to the MTR. Will stay there again next time I'll be in Hong Kong

Hotel:
It was just an average 3 star hotel. We booked 1 deluxe room and an executive room. Both rooms are small and outdated. The bathrooms are the smallest I've seen in my experience. They will provide you with basic amenities such as shampoo, bath soap and tooth brushes. It has a TV with only 5+ English channels.

Location:
Its near granville road, a shopping place near the area and a walking distance from Miramar shopping mall where you can find the flagship store of uniqlo. There's a Mcdonalds and 7 eleven across the road. For the train (MTR) it's just a 3 min walk from the hotel. But if your planning to shop near Harbour City Mall (flagship signature brands) or Silvercord Mall (its where H&M is), choose another hotel like Marco Polo Gateway. Its located in Canton road beside those malls. Plus the rooms are 3x larger.

P.S.
If you plan to stay here, don't purchase the executive room because it has the same size of a basic deluxe room. The only difference is that executive rooms in the 14th have bathrobes, Sony tvs and a shaving mirror (no exaggeration here).
