The hotel is a typical Intercontinental. It is about a 30 to 40 min drive from the airport - depending on the traffic. It is located in the heard of the city center of Chongqing.
Rooms are quite dark, with not too many lights. TV has all the usual channels, with CNN, BBC, Bloomberg, Cinemax and Discovery. There may have been some more movie channels. There was no DW.
Internet is LAN and WLAN based. It costs I think 100 RMB per day. I did not try it, so I cannot comment on the speed. WLAN in the lobby is free of charge with OK speed - VPN is working.
The bathroom has a walk in shower and a bathtub. Generally is the room not too large, but large enough. Electric plugs are in many places of the room, including next to the bed. Really good.
The beds are comfortable and quite soft for Chinese standards, hence "normal" for western standards.
Breakfast is on the 9th floor. There are not too many western dishes, however the cheeseselection was really good (for foreign managed hotels in China)
Staff was friendly and good. Maybe the hotel is slightly more expensive than other hotels in Chongqing, but it is for sure worth it.
Opposite of the hotel is a Starbucks, Pizzahut and a KFC, in case you need non-hotel food.
