we had hard time to find this hotel of wich we have heard a lot about, as if it was a very very special place.
there is not advertisment anywhere, even the website is very minimal.
this hotel is not for everyone. the name itself says a lot "CLUB", it is are a real hotel, but with a private club philosopy.
it's not at all a big ,sparkling,show off luxury hotel, it's a understatment sophisticated place for real conneseurs.
the location is just behind tien a men place, and the building itslef is so special.
in fact is a antik private villa of a chinese prince, only with 8 rooms.
when you are there you have the feeling to be the guest of a antik noble family.
the room are very big with sofas and a alcove bed, the bathroom are all decorated with engraved boiserie. ancient real chinese luxury with no show off.
the owner is mr tang, a hong kong fashion designer that took care of all details.the new done suites are fantastic, with hand emobrided wallpapers and private patio.
the restaurant is superbe, it seems to be into the movie
"red lanter".
the bar is perfectly 1920 style, and in the guest book you can see the picture of many celebities like sarah ferguson and tony blair.
this hotel is a special experience,simple and chic,really sophisticated.
a sincere warning: if you like classic 5 star pompous luxury, you might not appreciate this special place.
