For me service was a real plus. The girls were really helpful and kind. Made me Chinese dumplings in the middle of the night, answered all of our questions about planes, trains, and activities. Just really made sure to cover their bases: arranging pickups, navigation around the city.
The rooms are a little small, the beds a little less giving (not bad, though); but you feel like you just stepped back into a old royal time. They have really neat opera masks on the walls (I bought one), nice furniture and decor, it's neat.
Morning breakfast is good. The dining room is in the basement and a bit dark. It's a little bit away from the Temple of Heaven, Wangfujing, and so forth. However, it's near other places of interest.
I enjoyed the place and the memory of the staff and style stick with me as memories of China.
