So much impressive with the hotel decor. The staff was very friendly and very kind. The hotel style was different from the others in Beijing. The breakfast was good. Convenient location, near some restaurants. Very cozy place to stay. I'd recommend the hotel.

If you are looking for something in Beijing that is different from a typical western-style hotel, then this place is definitely worth considering. It is a small, quaint courtyard-style hotell off an unlikely narrow alley-way in the Hutongs. Ours was a deluxe room with a four-poster bed and traditional furniture. The room was remarkably quiet and we woke to the sounds of birdsong in the mornings. The front-desk staff spoke English well, and were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were rather basic but adequate (choice of Chinese or Western). In terms of accessibility it is close to the subway and reasonably central to the major sights. In terms of price it seemed on the high side but appropriate when compared with other options. The only minor negative was that the beds are pretty hard by western standards. Highly recommended.

Spring Garden Hotel is a jewel hidden in heart of Beijing. It is a living piece of eras long gone, with more perks and comforts added in. Each room represents a different dynasty with beautiful decorations down to the last detail. The staff is extremely helpful and ready to include and advise you of activities that are China. This is my second stay here, and it just keeps getting better. Even though my Chinese is limited to 3 words, there has never been a problem conversing, and the staff has been more than helpful meeting my needs. Complimentary breakfast in the courtyard is delightful during the warmer months
and cozy near the heater in your room during the colder months. As a woman traveling solo, there was never a time that I felt in danger walking down the alley after dark, or that my safety was threatened. The hotel atmosphere is warm, safe, and welcoming, and the people of Beijing gracious. It is right off major bus lines(1Y.to ride the bus regardless of distance!) and taxis are cheap and available. This beautiful hutong is what dreams and storybooks bring to life when one invisions China and the wonders it holds. Traveling to Beijing and not staying here would be the biggest disservice you can do to yourself. This is a true gem, and I love it here!

Nice hotel, classic room decor, similar to other hotels. The location is good, no good local restaurants. Yes, it is close to the silk market, but the pearl market offers better goods at cheaper prices and the sellers don't hound you nearly as bad. It is a 2-3$ taxi ride away.
We will staye at this hotel again if we come back .
