We booked this hotel after reading other reviews, and i must say it was better than we expected the hotle was close to the Temple of heaven. Good loction. the room was nice really comfy bed very clean and a good size ensuite shower room. the best thing about this hotel was the staff they were so nice and helpful. We were booked room only but still got breakfast which was basic but hey it was free. next door was a handy pizza bar..and a great foot rub. Also handy supermarket round the corner. We would def stay here again.

We loved this hotel, mainly because of its location. It is only a 20 minute walk to Tianan Men Square and is across from the Temple of Heaven. Close by there is a traditional department store, a grocery market and a wonderful park where you can see people fly their kites.

But the best thing about the location is that it is not in a tourist area and you can walk around and not see another westerner. Yet we always felt safe. The Chinese were friendly and keen to try out their limited English.

The hotel itself was very good. The room was very large, good breakfast (with real English tea) and there was a little cafe next door that served western food as well as Chinese. We will definitely stay here again.

Stayed here with our tour group. The owner was very chatty, and claimed the hot water comes from a spring under the hotel (a special lukewarm spring it would seem). Handy for the acrobat theatre nearby, and possibly handy for the temple of heaven, if anyone were to actually walk in enormous Beijing. We arrived late and they served us a reasonable dinner upstairs, though "mixed bean salad" turned out to be tofu!
