The reception service is horrible. Very unfriendly staff. Not very willing to answer questions. The breakfast were probably the worst I had eaten. No coffee, no bread, no milk. Serve 米汤水only。 Only spicy tasteless food and fried "pancake". Thank God it is very well located, if not, not worth the money. The owner may argue that is Beijing style. NO! NO! I had the opportunity to stay in 5 other hotels and the breakfasts in others were excellent. Probably after eating in this hotel, the rest are wonderful. Even I am a Chinese and I still consider the both tubs are too low. The water leaks everywhere after the shower.

I´ve stayed there in June of 2008 for a business trip.
The room was reasonably clean but don't expect much, the bath tub was kind of old so the shower was just about enough for me. They offered a broadband internet connection which was quite slow in the evenings so I had to send most of my reports early in the morning. Air conditioning worked just fine.
They offered a chinese breakfast at the hotel and the they can speak a little english at the reception desk.
The hotel is a little old but the location was quite good for my purposes, there is a river just about a 5 minute walk which has some bars and it was really nice at night.
So if you are looking to save some money and if the location suits you, I would say that Hui Qiao Hotel is ok.
