Stayed in Block B for 5 nights. Very impressive hotel - very very big. Had two rooms - a 1 broom suite and twin. The suite was VERY comfortable, but air con was non-existent and so rooms was very hot - only on our last day did we discover that we could have opened the windows for a cooling breeze at night, even tho we had staff come and see us over the problem a couple of times. Air con in twin room was better. Bed in suite was VERy hard - like sleeping on the floor - partner didn't mind but I found it difficult. Very modern clean bathrooms. Staff friendly enough, but not many know any English. Breakfast was very limited due to holiday period - they practically closed all hotel facilities (including pool and buffet breakfast) for four days - we had no warning of this at check-in. Locaton is not good - no restaurants nearby for non-chinese so had to eat-in almost every night (the exception was when we had a chinese friend take us out). The food in the hotel was good but very chinese - so only had a few suitable dishes (and we are adventurous eaters by most standards!). Metro stop was a short walk away, as were KFC and a supermarket. I think this hotel is best suited to Chinese business guests and would not consider again for family stay.
