I often stay here. Its near my office, which is the main reason I first stayed here, but I like it a lot. Its not stunning or beautiful, but its good, functional, efficient and its easy to get to most places in Beijing from here. Its only 100m from the Airport Express terminal, so its a good choice for those arriving late or leaving early, as its very easy to get to and from the airport from this hotel by the great Airport Express train.

I have stayed at the Oriental Garden Hotel in Beijing twice, travelling in business. It is a really nice hotel, with very friendly staff and excellent breakfast with a large variety of food. They usually had two chefs preparing noodles or eggs the way you wanted them to be.

The meeting rooms are nice. We used one for a few days, and the staff was really helpful and courteous.

The location is nice, just a short walk from the Dongzhimen station, which takes you to the airport. Taxi is also easy to get here, just ask the doormen and they will have one within seconds for you.

Have stayed here a couple of times on business trips to Beijing. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are a good size, but not ultra-modern. It's clean-enough to not trigger my germ-phobia and the breakfast buffet is really good.

Location is perfect - walking distance to many good sites including Ghost Street and the subway is right at your doorstep taking you everywhere else.

I booked this room only because it was by the airport express line and stayed for 1 night prior to leaving Beijing. The hotel itself is very good for a somewhat chinese-able guest as they are somewhat limited in dealing with foreign English speakers (my spouse). The beds are typical chinese, they would be considered hard as rocks to non-asians - so you are forewarned. I would compare it to sleeping on the box spring bottom part alone. The best part about this hotel is the location - it is within walking distance to the subway but I would not deal with the airport express if I had to again or advise anyone else to. The access to it is by separate entry and you need to go through the underpass and manystairs are involved and with luggage it is painful. There is no entry from the subway entrance. However if you are sightseeing in Beijing this hotel would be a good option - my opinion, close to transportation. Cabs readily available at the door. Rooms are fairly large and clean. I had requested a quiet room and was on the 5th floor in non-smoking. If you like and can deal with firmer beds this is the place!
