I just got back form Beijing stead 3 night first time and 2 night on my return trip. The sunworld hotel was a great and every one was so nice and helpful. It also has a great location for every thing.

Well I saw the mixed reviews and didn't realty believe the negative ones. Believe them we arrived very late to a dirty hot room but the sheets were clean and we were so tired went to bed. When Gene went down in the morning we were going to be demoted to the 3rd floor street side as a punishment for complaining. The lady who booked our tour called and jad is pushed up to a clean 10th floor ro that was very nice but then they didn't want to move our luggage. We were to go to the 6th floor to do it. My husband who is very easy going finally had enough after a long day and just insisted. This is not a 4 star hotel. This is not a 3 star hotel
I don't care about tje lobby and we had just gone to Florence and Rome staying in ecellent 2 star and pensions. Be warned

The room is fine, clean and tidy.
What I like is the location.walking distance to other shopping destination (wafujing)
The breakfast not so impressive

Stayed at this hotel on the first leg of our China tour. The location is great as it is so close to the main shopping street (make sure you see the hundreds of people line dancing outside the church in the evening!) and we enjoyed our stay. Rooms are good size and well appointed and the lobby is very attractive. Staff were plentiful but rarely smiled and did not take much notice of guests.
