Efficient reception. Spacious, clean rooms. Competitively priced. Excellent location for shops, city centre and embassies. Only real quibble is that the breakfast is poor and over-priced, but there are plenty of cheap places to eat nearby.

The hotel is really old one. It strongly needs reconstruction and good in-room repair. May be 20 years ago it was cool to have a large coffin-like TVset and a radio which now doesn't work. Twice I had problems with local Wi-Fi, though the staff managed to fix it. The reception is always busy with something, not very eager to help. No weighers in the room. Poor English of the staff. Dirty stains on carpets, small rooms, bathroom in poor-looking condition. The same is about the club in neigbouring building and lobby.
But the location is really good - near Jianguomen station, McDonalds, silk street etc.
By the way, does anybody know why the place is called Scitech? I've found nothing technologically profound.
Simply dirty.. when i arrived first i noticed a couple of bloodstains on the bed and i asked for a new room. But i was not lucky the day after i woke up with 3 bites on my belly probably bedbugs or mite. Floor was dirty, bathroom small and staff unfriendly.
The only good thing was the location..10 minutes from the main touristic and commercial sites
I travelled to meet my Chinese friends and booked in by my friend ,who works for Beijing Public Service Radio. The hotel was very clean, with indoor pool and Spa. Used pool, clean enough. Did not sample hotel food, but went to local Chinese Restaurants yards away from hotel. Food in them very good, the local office workers ate there all the time for breakfast and lunches. Booked tickets for Forbidden City Music Hall concerts,a 5 minute bus journey away, bus stop 100 yards from hotel. Ideal hotel for all amenities.
This was the first visit to Beijing and though I was in awe of the place I was disappointed with the hotel. I picked it as my chinese colleague recommended it to be good and economical. Atleast the lobby seemed promising but as soon as I entered the room it smacked of cheapness. Dirty carpet, stains in the bathroom and pathetic service. I was told the room rent is 498 RMB + 100 extra for breakfast in case I have it. I chose not to have breakfast and hotel added breakfast charge in my bill nonetheless. Had a tough time convincing them at 5 am in the morning when I was checking out. They have a night club on the premises which is pretty good otherwise nothing great about the hotel.
