Stayed at this hotel for part of a group travel trip. Attached to the Beijing Opera Company's building, the hotel is furnished with touches from the Opera. Rooms are fairly large, with very high ceilings (older building... nice touch). Beds are firm and the barley pillow is a treat (if you like heavy pillows). The rooms were well maintained and the hotel overall was a good value. HOWEVER, the bathroom is a disaster. From the 1980s hair-dryer that wouldn't dry anything, to the dirt dripping down the wall, to the top of the in-shower shampoo dispenser that had never been cleaned, the bathroom experience is so bad that I was would consider staying elsewhere.
From a Western point of view, I'd skip breakfast as well. It's not worth the money, though there is VIP dining room as well, and if you're on the VIP floor, apparently the food is better there.
Wifi in the lobby, but no net access in the rooms.
