I have stayed many times at the Kerry hotel in Beijing although this is my first review. It is currently undergoing refurbishment with a new lobby although the rooms look untouched.

Room-wise this would meet the expectations of any road warrior working for a MNC. The rooms are spacious and have a comfortable temperature, even during the bitter winter (always a good thing). As a Golden Circle Jade member, I was accorded additional amenities such as beer and coke and the first round of the minibar is included in the room rate.

Internet access is free so you don't have to worry about being connected (or not).

Breakfast is included and I particular like the noodle section of the breakfast where they will cook you a nice, cosy bowl of noodles. Alternatively the porridge isn't bad either.

The bar below is nice - great music and although drinks are a tad pricey this can be expected of a large hotel establishment. For exercise fanatics, this hotel boasts one of the largest gyms and swimming pools as well!

I was very comfortable in my numerous stays in the Kerry. Though this property is a bit on the pricey side, it is 5 star service, 5 star accommodations and large/spacious rooms. The beds and bedding/pillows are extremely comfortable and clean. The bathrooms are huge with separate shower and soaking tub. The "Kerry Sports" fitness center is huge and has a large local membership base - this is no small hotel workout room, but a fully equipped fitness center. There is a Starbucks, small grocery store and a Papa John's pizza in the attached mall for some alternative dining options.

I had a four night stay at the Shangri-La Kerry Centre Hotel in late August 2011 while attending a course nearby. Right from my arrival straight through to the end of my visit, the staff were all incredible. Nothing was a problem, and every request I had was met graciously and promptly. I looked forward to walking back into the oasis of the hotel after every long day in the city and was warmly met by a number of staff who would often escort me through the public rooms to the elevator. (Renovations were underway at this time, but it appeared that a huge number of staff were on board to assist customers to find their way). My room was very nice, with lovely amenities. Each day a bowl of fresh fruit would be placed in the room. Evening turndown service was a lovely added touch, with housekeeping staff having an amazing eye to detail. Breakfast every morning was great - a huge buffet consisting of everything you could want! The hotel had a direct walkway into the neighboring mall which is very large, but full of lovely shops and boutiques. I spent quite a few hours there over my stay, and there are a large number of restaurants there also. I simply can not say enough about the staff - they were very friendly, incredibly helpful, but still connected with you on a more personal level rather than just being there to 'work' - very genuine and amazing people. I have never stayed at a better hotel than the Kerry Centre, Beijing.

Kerry Hotel Beijing can boast with absolutely fantastic service! The hotel is beautiful and conveniently located, but the real difference is in the brilliant service! Look forward to friendly and helpful staff that are fluent in English. We also made use of their conference facilities which was of a very high standard. Highly recommended.
