A business hotel majorly catering to Japanese. Very convenient location for all Chaoyang business appointments and easy to head to Tiananmen square,
Look for new rooms since they are good. Old rooms are worn out and not worth the price but new ones are worth it. Nice breakfast with TaiChi performance. Very relaxing.

The part of a famous chain New Otani Beijing was areal surprise.
I book this hotel on my business trip to Beijing trough the local agency and get a great rate.
For 4 nights i stay here it was really relaxing and experience to remember.
Lobby is spacious and staff well trained with excellent English,check in easy.
Rooms with nice view,clean well equipped and spacious.
There is a several restaurants one better than another as well as coffe shop with live
relaxing music opposite the front desk.
Breakfast was great.Hotel staff is very polite if you want they will call taxi as it is quite hard in Beijing because most of the taxi drivers dont speak any English.
In general this is not a International High class hotel but offers the same quality.

We stayed 6 nights at the New Otani Chang Fu Gong Hotel in October 2011. The hotel lobby is lovely and the rooms are decent, roomy and clean, but make sure you ask for a room change if you are given one with mold on the bathroom tiles! Not all are like that! The hotel has internet connected televisions which we found very handy for e-mails etc. The pool looked less than inviting and was down a dark corridor on the opposite side of the property. The breakfasts were fabulous and overlooked a Japanese garden with Tai Chi demos some mornings.

Rooms are a good size. The bathrooms had toiletries which were restocked daily. Also a kettle with tea and coffee supplies were restocked daily. Entertainment in the lobby each evening was enjoyable and interesting.

Staff did not speak English so it was therefore difficult to make needs understood, but they did their best as did we with our travelers Mandarin guidebook! Valets were quick to call taxis as required and taxis were cheap, so no need to worry about buses or walking miles.

McDonalds is located right beside the hotel property when in desperate need of a Western snack.

Most staff do not speak English which makes things challenging. Hotel badly needs a "face lift".
Some towels were ripped and torn. Bathroom tile had mold and shower curtain very soiled.
Good location but very disappointing experience.
