The hotel is from 1982 and a bit out-dated in terms of design and style. However, it still has a nice atmosphere and friendly staff in reception and restaurants. Was upgraded to a suite with a living room downstairs and bedroom upstairs, very quiet and nice room and even though the hotels is located next to a busy street the small garden in the middle makes the difference. Can be recommended for a few days stay in Beijing and very close to Silk Market and subway. Confirms that 3-4 star hotels like this one are sometimes less complicated and easy-going than 4-5 star up-market hotels.
