My first trip to 'Mother Continent' Africa!and I couldn't have asked for a better experience to begin with. The trip from the airstrip to the hotel was barely 7-10 minutes and we had already begun our safari experience by sighting Elephant herds and Thomson's gazelle on the way. Perched on a small hillock with amazing views of the African Savannah, the hotel is modeled along the lines of a Masai Village. In fact all rooms are designed as a collections of independent 'huts' & get an uninterrupted view of the Savannah(which must be even better during the migration). The rooms are small but tidy and functional. The beds are firm with a net provided(to keep of Mosquitoes & bugs). My safari over the next two days was spectacular with us sighting A Black Rhino, Elephants, Giraffes, Hippopotamuses, Lions, Buffalo, Wart Hogs, Wildebeest,Topi, Thomsons Gazzelle, Bushbuck, Dinks, Hyenas, Waterbuck, Zebra's,Cheetah and many more. The night safari @$90 per person is expensive but recommended as its quite exciting to go out in an 'open' 4x4, not knowing whats lurks around the corner, esp when all Predators are in full flow. The staff at the hotel are very courteous and the service excellent. The food spread (lunch/dinner/Breakfast) amazed me (we are in the middle of the jungle right!). All in all a great experience, I hope to return soon for a longer stay at this remarkable property.
Room Tip: the rooms in the 'middle' of all the huts are excellent.
