“Horrendous”

This hotel was disgusting. The room we were first shown to was filthy and stank of smoke. The second room was slightly better but we couldn't wait to leave.

It was horrendously noisy at night with music playing right outside our room until the early hours of the morning the whole hotel was run down, the service was pretty much non-existent the breakfast was awful.

Although cheap I would still expect a clean room for my money. The only redeeming feature is the roof terrace which although run down does have wonderful views of Luxor.

Room Tip: Don't book it at all

“Nice hotel”

I was staying in Queens Valley since november 20 during 10 days, its REALLY NICE hotel!! Its not first my time in Luxor but its first time when i really enjoyed my holidays)) I was living with my mum and brother in 2 clean rooms (girls from housekeeping were cleaning rooms every day)-beds and towels were always fresh, TV is working - we even found several english channels on it. There was bathtube-there is almost no hotels with bathtubes in egypt so its extraPLUS for this hotel, We had one room with balcony and other one with very big window-both rooms with perfect view to Luxor temple. The food in hotel is yummy and served very nice, portions are big-more than possible to eat for one person)) We ate in restourant andcouple of times ordered food to room. There is swimming pool on the roof of the hotel, with zone for kids also, sunbeds and umbrellas are available anytime. You can see all Luxor if you'll just go to this roof)) Service in very accurate and attentive, cant say they speak english perfect but its not a problem to understand them and to make them understand you. Also there is comfortable cooling lobby bar with extra big soft armchairs and big tv, you can sit there with book or cup of coffe anytime during hot afternoon. Central bazaar is near of hotel also, its opened till late and keeps inside alot of oriental things . The mosque near hotel is abit loud during prayers but its didnt disturb us alot. Hope i will come back to Queens Valley soon)

“Only 1 night, thnk goodness!”

Stayed here recently while on a Geckos tour, have come to accept that low class accommodation is the go with them, but this was pretty awful. As mentioned in some of the other reviews, the place is old and run down, not particularly clean, and there is heaps of rubbish around. The prayer call from the mosque next door woke us with a deafening roar about 4am! On the positive side though, there are banks and exchange bureaus nearby, the Nile, souk and Luxor Temple are only a short walk.

“Value for money!”

we came away for 2 weeks with a family of 8, ranging from 4 months to 75 years old, and there was something for everyone here, the hotel is clean, we had our rooms cleaned almost every day, the location is really good, 2 minutes from the nile, 5 mins from the town center. we found the hotel staff to be very helpful and freindly, sampson, the hotel waiter/chef, stood out for us in particulur, he is a fantastic freind to have! Overall we have really enjoyed the holiday and will hope to come back in years to come.

Room Tip: The rooms overlooking the nile are beautiful, but a bit noisy due to high traffic.

“Please Do Not Stay Here!!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2011

Me and my friend had booked this hotel as part of a package deal with easyjet for a cheap holiday. We had the worst holiday ever (and I've done a fair bit of travelling.)
The rooms were filthy on entering, we was moved to two different rooms, which were just as dirty. We asked for the room to be hoovered before we moved our luggage in the room only to have to take the hoover off the guy who was hoovering (with a cigarette in his mouth) and hoovered it ourselves after an attempt by three members of staff to hoover.
The fridge was disgusting could only afford to put bottles of water in there for fear of sickness.
The beds were not made up when we arrived, still had dirty sheets on bed from last guests, when we asked for clean sheets, we were given more dirty sheets of the vacant beds from the room next door, towels were dirty. Ultimately we gave up on trying to ask for anything clean. I've been on many budget holidays and stayed in many backpackers hostels overseas so trust me when I say I'm used to low rating accommodation but this takes the biscuit.
The lovely aroma of stale cigarette butts left in ashtrays outside of the rooms added to the splendour of the hotel.
Shall I move on to the breakfast? I will.....As we were booked in for two weeks, after the end of the fifth day the cheese which was served everyday with cucumber and a slice of stale tomatoe got mouldier and mouldier till it was green, mixed in with a slice of melon this was the breakfast! Table cloth was inbedded with so much dirt the flies were having a field day.

The pool area/bar- I'll upload the pics at a later date as words cannot express the way photos can. (The perversion of the staff, deterred us from sunbathing as they took it in turns to come and leer at us in our swimming costumes)

We were constantly harassed by the locals every time we walked out of the hotel, which is understandable considering the economic situation there but what we didn't expect is to be harassed whilst in our rooms by the locals. The hotel staff because of their low cost make up their money by negotiating with the locals on deals for excursions by allowing them to call you in your room from the hotel lobby giving them your room number so as they can ask you to book these tours in order for the hotel to gain commission, this was explained to us by our official representative who we had booked the holiday with after demanding that we needed to leave as it was a living hell and we feared for our safety.
The breech of our security was handled by one of the porters claiming to be the manager who was one of the same members of staff who was ogling us by the pool side.

We were moved immediately without question which says alot. I will upload pics so you can judge for yourself.
Do yourself a favour, do not go there. I really do question the positive comments about this hotel but judge for yourself, we actually looked at these comments before booking and went with the positive comments and ignored the negative (big mistake) Opinion of the people have deterred us from ever going back although the hotel we were moved too was a refreshing turnaround, and saved us getting on the next plane back to the UK after 5days.

Room Tip: The room we was in had a speaker phone facing our direction which sounded the prayers 5 times a day...
