“Great value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 February 2011

Of all the places we stayed in Egypt, this was the best value for the money. Good clean rooms at a good price. We also had some good meals in the restaurant, which was a big plus, because the area doesn't have a great selection of restaurants.

With the exception of one person, all of the people there were helpful and friendly.

Highly recommended.

“very lovely stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2011

the hotel is well located; you can walk to the city centre.
Our room was very clean and the shower very hot.
We also found the staff very friendly and helpful. When we go back to Luxor, we will definitely stay there.

“Bad Experience!!!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2010

After travelling here with a tour group I was quite happy with the location and the accomodation provided. It wasn't until our second night at the hotel that we discovered our room had been entered by a member of staff whilst we slept and money taken from my handbag which sat near the door. I felt nothing short of violated and reported the matter to police. The hotel staff acceted no responsibilty which is typical and makes sense why they ask you to sign a disclaimer before you stay at the hotel!!!! I did not realise I needed to have mu money strapped to me whilst I slept at a hotel recommended by Intrepid Tours!!!!

In responce to this review we are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us and felt violated but I just wish to clear up a few points. As you say we did not take responsibility because we found it hard to believe that someone could enter while you and your friend both slept in your LOCKED room. As you told us the next morning your room was still locked when you woke up. Even though our doors are not very noisy when they are opened and closed they are not in fact silent so surely at least one of you would have woken up when either the key was put in the lock, the door was opened or closed or even when the button to lock the door again clicked. Also how would the member of staff know where you kept your money? They would have had to search the room to find it and this would have taken some time. As for the disclaimer, all hotels in Egypt and I think around the world ask you to sign a similar sort of thing on check in for your own and the staff's protection. Again I am sorry that you didnt enjoy your stay with us and I hope this does not stop you returning to Egypt.

“Little Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 September 2010

I am currently staying at the Little Garden hotel. I have been here for 1 week and have another week to go. I am having the best time. The rooms are very clean and I love the towel animals made by the cleaning girls. The staff are great. Very polite and helpful. They have an English woman working here which is great for the language barrier even though most of the staff speak very good english. I will certainly be back and recommend this little gem to my friends back home.

“Small oasis of calm”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 December 2009

I travelled to Egypt with my cousin and found this hotel on Trip Advisor. Neither of us likes to stay in the big tourist hotels and were delighted with this lovely little hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was like coming back to a small oasis of calm after running the gauntlet of all the stall holders! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a budget hotel, away from the tourist areas.
