I would recomend the Nile Valley Hotel on the west bank for a number of reasons, the hotel, the location with the perfect view of the east bank and Nile, owners and staff are very professional, the pool bar, everything really.

after visiting Nile Valley with my 3yr old granson to be told ,momar these toilets are very very clean,and after finishing our meal on the fabulous roof top restaurant, we went down to swim in the beautifull pool.the owner and his wife made us feel very welcome, they even organised a donkey treck for our grandson with his two young daughters.The next evening we were entertained with a belly dancer, dervish dancer, and local eygptian
musicians.What a night brill and included for free the fabulous view of Luxor Temple illuminated.Thanks to Hamada and Karin we shall be returning.

Can't rate this great little family run hotel enough. Had 3 nights & it was great from start to finish. We had 3 teenagers with us - never easy to please but they also loved it.

Fantastic location overlooking the Nile & Luxor Temple. Easy access to the east bank via the little boats - the hotel will run one for you as and when you want also. According to the owners some buildings have been demolished around them as they didn't have building licences, but it means that Nile Valley has a great uninterrupted view now & as they had a building licence theirs is safe. Area behind is being developed with a police, fire & 1st Aid station which is a useful facility.

Our rooms were a bit basic as we had booked the budget ones but all clean & servicable & the beds were very comfy. Excellent value for money. For a little more you could have rooms with balcony overlooking the lovely swimming pool.

Restaurant food was very nice & again very reasonably priced. Staff very friendly & quiet. Owners especially nice & welcoming. Karin even sent our postcards for us.

We used the hotels' drivers for everything we needed. The lovely Hasan waited patiently for our flight to arrive late & immediately put us at ease once we arrived. He then arrived in the morning to take us to the Kings Valley etc & it was very interesting - he took us to some of the places that aren't visited so much by the hoardes.

On leaving we had a further long distance transfer to El Gouna on the coast. Different drivers this time, but again very careful & quiet.

Stayed there couple nights of Oct 2009. A great place to stay and relax for couple days or more. Easy access by ferry from the East bank of Luxor. Clean rooms, relaxing terrace on the roof, good restaurant. Friendly staff always ready to render service. Price reasonable.
