Stayed here for a week after a week cruising the Nile.
We chose a 'Superior' room with Nile view. The room was nice and large, with good drawer and wardrobe space, and a well fitted bathroom. The sliding doors opened onto a nice terrace overlooking the Nile, but I wasn't too keen on the fact that only the first 4m or so were private, and beyond it was a shared area - i.e. nothing to stop people walking across it and peering into our room!
The grounds are quite well kept, and the view over the Nile is wonderful. The hotel lies on the inside of a bend in the river, so the view is quite extensive.
Service was generally good, and sometimes very good. Staff were friendly, helpful and courteous.
Breakfasts in the main restaurant were generally good, but for my preference they would have benefited form more choice of healthy cereals, and more fresh fruit.
Lunches on the terrace (e.g. Chicken Caesar Salad, Steak Sandwich Nefertari) were really excellent.
Dinners in the main restaurant (buffet style) were OK but tended to lack variety.
We had one dinner in the 'La Mama' Italian Restaurant which is part of the hotel. This was very good, but a bit pricy by Egyptian standards.
The bar was a bit lacking in atmosphere, and seemed to be dominated by multiple TV screens.
It's worth noting that you can have free internet access for up to 45 minutes per day in the Business Centre in the lobby.
