“Day stop only”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 December 2011

We used this hotel as a day stop after a Nile cruise before catching the overnight train back to Cairo. The rooms seemed OK, nothing fancy but relatively clean. Would be fine for a night or 2. Location is pretty good, in a street that runs off the main market street so easy to access the markets. Plenty of banks and internet around as well.

“Hellhole”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2011

Do not stay in this Hellhole. My wife and I were booked into this hotel by our taxi driver who organised it for an overnight visit before we went on to Abu simbel during the two weeks of our honeymoon. We arrived at this hotel, and checked in.Went up in a lift that looked like something out of Are you being served. We were booked into a room that was filthy. It had a smell that can only be described as urine. The bathroom was filthy, and the toilet unusable.Even the phone had about 1cm of filth on it.It looked like it hadnt ever been cleaned. We had to be up at 3 am for the convoy. So I tried and failed to get sleep because of all the noise from the side alley, and my wife sat on the end of the bed on a towel all night, because she refused to lay on the beds.We obviously couldnt wait to get out of there the next day.We will NEVER be visiting Aswan again,.It has put us off for good.

Room Tip: Take plenty of flea powder

“Good Location. Nice Lobby, rooms need refurbishings.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2011

I stayed here with my wife, and 4 children, ages 22 to 5 years old. Had 2 room #515 &518. Were put here by our tour operator, as a part of Egypt tour. Great location. Walk to Nile river, Faluka ride and McDonalds. Lobby is pretty decent. Saw a lot of europian tourists. Breakfast was not bad.Rooms are old, small, and stinky toilet. Rooms need a make over.

“Great location but very poor rooms”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2011

We stayed for two nights here and were satisfied enough for a low budget hotel. The rooms were cramped with no natural light, but clean enough. The main problem was that the drainage in the shower did not work, meaning we had to stand half in and half out when we showered. However the hotel is in a good location for getting to the souk, (right outside) and to restaurants on the Nile (just a five minute walk). However I would not recommend unless you are used to roughing it.

“Unhappy and this hotel needs to be rated 1* rather than 3*”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 December 2010

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night in Aswan.
The lobby looked clean and the staff were helpful.

However, the rooms were definitely not upto 3* standards.
The bathroom was unclean and the flush didn't work. The carpet and room decor was begging for an update.

I do NOT recommend this hotel unless you don't mind a low budget motel.
