“Great views of the Nile”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

This hotel is not 5 star by international standards but is quite acceptable none the less.
Doesn't appear that they have double/queen beds as we asked for a double room and were given 2 single beds. When we queried this they said they didn't have any, however I don't think it's due to being full as there are very few travellers in Egypt at the moment.

Restaurant is large and unappealing but the food was okay, not fantastic.

Okay for a 1 night stay but if it was any longer I'd be staying at the Old Cataract.

“Hotel is good but the food is dreadful”

If we'd ate out for lunch and dinner, I'd be giving the hotel a 5/5 but because we had to experience the poor service at lunch and the awful food that was delivered to us at London prices, then I'm giving it a 3/5 - based on the restaurant alone.

The hotel itself is good, good sized room, clean and it has a lovely view of the Nile. It was slightly noisey at night as you can hear the traffice from the road below.

“Iberotel Aswan is beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

From the friendly staff to the amazing Nile River views from my room, the Iberotel Aswan is the perfect start to your Upper Egypt Adventure. The ATM next to the theater is safe and inexpensive. Check out the shops for quality cottons and papyrus. Lovely stay. Thanks to Memphis Tours for suggesting this hotel.

“Beautiful Property With A View Of The Nile From Every Room!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2011

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in November 2011. This is a newer, magnificent property with a spectacular view of the Nile from every room. We were greeted in the lobby with a refreshing glass of hibiscus tea and found a tray of sweets in our room upon arrival. We had a room with no balcony and a king size bed. The view was magnificent and the sliding doors could be opened to let in the sights and sounds of the Nile. The room itself was huge with very high ceilings as well as the bath. Interesting tidbit-the door to the hallway had a quiet alarm on it so if it wasn't latched all the way the alarm would sound as a quiet reminder. There were hardly any people staying at this property which was a shame as it has much to offer. The restaurant food was so-so. The buffet breakfast was average as well as the buffet dinner. The shops in the hotel were interesting and the shop keepers very friendly. The staff at this property were professional and warm. Laying by the pool(a short walk under the road through a lovely decorated tunnel) was very relaxing and the pool guy took the time to coach me on my Arabic. I do hope more people stay at this property as it's location is wonderful and it's staff friendly.

Wonderful rooms, sweets in our rooms on arrival. Amazing view! and the pool which is across the road which you can access to via some stairs outside pool is by the nile where you can see feluccas floating past. Really enjoyed my stay here, hotel staff were really helpful when we needed to find some shops.
