We were staying in this hotel for 3 nights, as part of a tour through Egypt. The lobby looked okay, but in the past 3 weeks I have learned that behind fancy lobbies the worst hotel rooms can be hidden.
To reach the rooms one has to take pretty scary elevators. We stayed in St George at the beginning and end of our tour. The room in the beginning of the trip was pretty okay, if one doesn't mind a couple of black hairs (I am a blonde) in the tub and sink.
The last night however, was horrible. The room smelled of gutters, the carpet under and around the fridge was soaking wet, the shower and tap poured brown water with small pieces of dirt, even after we left the taps running for 5-10 minutes, so we didn't take a shower... next to that, and most disgusting, was the clearly visible feacal material in the toilet, don't think I have to add more details on that, and the edge of the tub was smeared with soapy particles.
Breakfast was acceptable. Nice zoo-view. (The zoo costs only 1 Egyptian Pound to enter. A particular experience. Mind the local dress code, no bare knees and shoulders.)
