If you are looking for a budget place to stay in the middle of downtown Cairo this is a good pick! Although the bathrooms are rather dirty (ie: cockroaches, the floor around the toilet was always wet, and the shower required you to be very small and wear sandals) the rooms were comfortable. And the guys running the show were wonderful. They sold internet and water very cheap and were always very helpful!

People were very nice although teh hostel is basic. I don't know if u an get better in CAiro, but definetely this is not top.

I can't believe it when I read these reviews!!!!!! This hostel is sooo GREAT, it IS CLEAN, the staff IS HELPFULL, the location IS GREAT.. I don't know what the people complain about!! You really can use the kitchen, I used it several times!! I also used the phone several times and if I asked something, it was done right away!! I go here everytime and I advise it to all my friends!!

I got into this hostel only because they mess up my reservation in Wake Up Cairo Hostel.
The hotel is not clean at all, and the staff is not helpful at all either.
I got sick.. very sick and they didnt allow me to call a doctor, not even they will call one. I had to leave the hotel, by a card and use a public phone.. all this with 40C of fever.
They have a kitchen that supposedly you can use... well, I try to use it and they told me that nobody, but the kitchen staff (that leaves at 6/7 pm) can use it...
The floor was really dirty, and the bed sheets were not changed ever...
If you can, AVOID IT.
the only good thing, was that they had AC in the dorm
