I stayed here with my wife and infant daughter in transit via Cairo for one day. The location was perfect being a 10 - 15 minutes drive from the airport. The service was very friendly and efficient, and the hotel helped us to organise a pick up + drop off service to the airport as well as a private car to take us to and from the Giza Pyramids. Room service and the buffet breakfast were much to my family's liking. I definitely recommend the Karvin as a great budget hotel.

I stayed here for 4 nights in December 2011. It is in a quiet area of Heliopolis and it is reasonably priced and I can thoroughly recommend it. The staff were friendly and efficient. There is a lively and popular rooftop restaurant that serves good Indian food.

Karvin hotel is clean and it is located in a quiet neighborhood, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooftop bar/restaurant is a little oasis in the middle of the chaos that is Cairo. The Chinese and Indian restaurants are far from authentic, and the food is mediocre at best. The breakfast is more than enough and recommendable for the people who are looking for Indian food.
