We had a fantastic stay. From a great view of the Nile, breakfast buffet and pleasant staff, we would definitely choose the Grand Nile Tower Hotel next time we are there.

I'll start with the good things. The view is amazing. Although you can of course see this from the 'free' viewing deck below. The food that I ordered was very nice if a little bland, seemed like the kitchen was scared of the salt. Having said that, both the courses my boyfriend ordered were not great. The bisque had a very odd taste and, despite the waiter asking and noting down his cooking preference, the duck was over cooked. The side order of green beans were stringy and unpleasant. The AC was on very high and when we asked for it to be turned down we were told this would not be possible, we were the only people in the restaurant so I am not sure why this was the case. Likewise the lighting was very low and we asked if it could be turned up a little, again the answer was no. The waiter who brought our main courses seemed a little out of sorts as he put the plates down very heavily. To add to all of this there is no longer alcohol available in any part of the hotel including the revolving restaurant. Despite the lack of wine our bill still came to 850le, 45le of which was for the Evian water we were given. Whilst it is undoubtedly a decent restaurant they should not be making the mistakes they did when charging the amount they are. Very disappointing.

This hotel has the best location in Cairo with the best room view. The restaurants are very special including the revolving with panoramic view over cairo. The mall is not very good most stores are not working and the cinema was closed.

We stayed here on 2 separate nights, before & after our Nile cruise. We were in a double grand room on the 34th floor overlooking the Nile the first time. On our second stay our guide got us upgraded to a suite because I was suffering from a stomach bug. The view would have been great if it wasn't for the pollution. We were lucky to be able to see the pool below us with all the smog.

For a number of reasons we only ate at the hotel for breakfast. What a spread! If you had the time you could eat enough to last the whole day.

The real downside - internet cost $20US per hour, yet was free in the Hard Rock cafe next door.
