“The only BnB basis where I 've had to go out to get a decent breakfast.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 June 2011

The hotel is very basic and mainly clean. The roof top pool has stunning views, including the pyramids on a clear day. It is good a good base for visiting places like Road 9 and the Ace Club, but at over £50 per night (and that was with a discount), I wasn't particularly impressed!
The breakfast was a combination of coleslaw and other members of the salad family, tea (no coffee), cheese - that had hardened. In all honesty I didnt try anything else!
All in all, if you just want somewhere to rest you head and know where you want to go in Maadi, it's fine, but if you're looking for a little more you find it to be a let down.

“Central location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2010

This is a moderately priced hotel ideal if you are staying in the Maadi area of Cairo. However, due to space limit, the hotel has only one Food outlet, and a pastry shop. I recommend a high floor for a better panoramic view of the Maadi Suburb. The health club on the top floor may be worth exploring however it could sometimes be very noisy.

“Good for the price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 February 2010

I just stayed at this hotel in Feb., 2010. I was pleasantly surprised. Its a nice hotel with a restaurant/gift shop/pastry shop. The staff (except the front desk) were reasonably friendly,
most of whom speak decent English. The bed was comfy, but the room was small.
But I did have a nice view of the pyramids and the Nile.

The bad side was... If you want to use their internet, you have to buy access time in blocks. I only ever got 1 hour at a time (11 LE). And their internet is SSSLLLLLOOOOOWWWW.

I gave the hotel only 2 stars for Sleep Quality because of the noise level in the surrounding area. I was constantly awakened by horns honking, dogs barking, and the
5 am call to prayer that came from the loudspeaker on the mosque just across from the hotel.
Some of this I could have avoided if I left my window closed (which seemed to do a good job of keeping out the noise level). But I can't sleep in a room if its stuffy or too warm.

But all in all, it was a nice stay for 6 nights.

“Hmm.. Its not that bad at all”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 November 2009

The first time i stayed at this Hotel was for Business on my first visit to Cairo. I find this hotel really excellent there's a small icre cream shop close by and next to it there's a cafe and if you go a couple of buildings ahead there's a Pizza Place. Amazing Staff and really comfy rooms. They have central AC's and the bathroom is good too. I absolutely fell in Egypt the first time i visited it. That's why the 2nd time i came back i headed straight to Maadi Hotel. I did take a look around the other hotels during my stay but nothing really compares to this Hotel!
The only thing i didn't like about the hotel was that they didn't serve fresh juice at breakfast. But then again there's a grocery store around the corner or you could get juice from the coffee shop next door.
Its not a luxuries hotel but not half as bad as people rate it here!!
