“Avoid this hotel - NO HOT WATER”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 February 2011

We were in Cairo during February 2011, after Mubarak resigned. I don't believe there were any other guests at the hotel the night we stayed. The bed was fine and the room was clean enough, but no one could get the hot water to work, either in the evening or the morning we checked out. I am not super picky when it comes to hotels, but one thing I INSIST upon is a hot shower, and they were unable to make this request happen. We were terribly disappointed with this hotel.

“Friendly staff and value for money....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2011

My boyfriend and I stayed here over New Year's and believed it was very good value for money and the staff were very helpful and hospitable. You are in the middle of Cairo's chaos and walking distance to the National Museum, Cairo Tower and many more sights. The room itself was satisfactory, the only down point was the view from our bedroom window was overlooking, what can only be described as a rubbish dump. The breakfast buffet was adequate, could use a little improvement to accommodate European travelers. If I were to return to Cairo, I would stay here again.

“Poor Service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2010

They gave us a room not for sleep: a door to the balcony was broken. They insisted that the door would be fixed soon and we have to stay that room. After my strong protest, they budged and gave us another room. It's better. I am still wondering how they do business with this poor service. In addition, the hotel is far from the airport, metro and city center. They charge on the Wi-Fi.

“Stay away”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2010

Noga tours had checked us into this hotel as a 'day hotel', which meant we weren't suppose to stay overnight...well, thank goodness for that!

The corridors were so dusty , you could actually tell from the darkness! And yeah, the ceiling lights were not working too. Check out the photos i have posted, the bathroom was dirty and required renovations !

Stay away. There are plenty of hotels in Egypt and it's worth to pay abit more for your security and health.

“The hotel met our needs in all ways.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2010

We enjoyed our stay. We thought that the air conditioning worked really well. The shower had really great pressure and very hot water which was nice. The room could have plenty of light if needed and at night would be very dark which made it easy to sleep despite hearing the honking (the first time we were on the 6th floor, when I stayed a second time I couldn't hear the honking at all which was on 3rd floor). Also we thought that the buffet breakfast was good and had plenty of choices although some of the food that should have been hot wasn't usually warm. The food in the restaurant was good and it was served relatively fast. I did use the swimming pool and felt comfortable using it. The things we didn't like about the hotel was the beds weren't the most comfortable. It felt like there was a spring sticking in the middle of my back and the shower water would run all in the floor of the bathroom and wouldn't drain very well so it was kinda messy in the bathroom floor. But everyone that worked there was very helpful and very kind. And I enjoyed being able to use the internet cafe. It was in an easy location to find and I would stay there again. The pictures on the internet of the rooms are a little deceiving and I did stay in 2 different rooms at 2 different times, so just don't go off those pictures or you might be disappointed.
