“Korean Air stopover hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

Korean Air offered this hotel as a stopover in Seoul and this is a really good choice. The hotel is in the centre of Seoul, three minutes from the catholic cathedral. The room was wide and spacious. I was in South Korea for the first time and the funniest thing in the hotel was a toilet with lots of buttons signed in Korean (I checked only some of them:-)). We exchanged our vouchers for the quite nice western dinner and breakfast.

The strange thing I noticed was the announcement at lobby - pursuant to the government's decision, the temperature inside the hotel should not be higher than +20 degrees (it was -5 outside) - of course, it doesn't apply for the rooms where you can adjust the temperature to max. 27 or something.

“great for stopover”

This hotel was part of a stopover package with the airline, room was clean and quiet, bathroom was good, plenty of hot water. Fabulous central location for a stopover, staff were friendly but some could not speak any English. The western meal I received in exchange for my meal voucher was strange to say the least. Breakfast was interesting with a large variety of all sorts of food , not brilliant but fresh and plentiful.

“Very good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 December 2011

Room was very spacious and with good quality furnitures. Nice bathroom with a big numbers of add-on for bathing. Very quiet for its location but view from the windows was not pleasant.
Best thing- excellent location - exactly in the middle of famous crowded district.
Bad thing was very high price!
The reception clerk did found me a taxi to the airport in the morning without problems
Due to early departure I didnt had a chance to taste breakfast.

Room Tip: If you need good location in Seoul - go for it!

“Excellent location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2011

I cant really comment on the price of the hotel as this was the first time I had been to Seoul and I had been told this is roughly what to expect. The room was pretty small (but again, apparently this is expected is Seoul). My mine gripe was the temperature of the room. It was unseasonably warm when I arrived (i.e. this week), yet they wouldn't turn on the air-con as 'the season was over'. As such, I sleep with the windows open and had to deal with a quite a bit of night time noise and mosquitos. Still - the location was amazing! Out the front door - shopping galore! And I took an early morning walk to the top of Namsam mountain (about a two hour round trip) which I would highly recommend for anyone who (like me) is only there for a couple of days.

“I regret staying in this hotel.”

This hotel sucks.

The man at the reception area was a TRAINEE, he was just too lazy to move. He was not accomodating. He didn't even want to listen to what i have to say. It was written on my voucher that i want a non smoking room, yet he gave me a smoking room. Don't know if he's ignorant or just plain stupid. I had to have my room changed.

The room looked old. Nothing special. No free wifi in the room. No free vending machine or ice machine. Only 1 free mineral water for your entire stay.

I am not happy with this hotel.

The location is not great. It was so far from the main street, although when you go out of this hotel, there's street market at night.

I hate the service. The only advantage i can see is free airport shuttle.

Will not consider this hotel in the future.
