Renovated room is of modern design with practical bathroom (Crabtree and Evelyn amenities). However service needs improvements! We have 3 renovated twin rooms for 2 nights and found out 2 of the rooms have faulty door lock-unable to lock from outside when we were about to go out. The hotel staff asked us to re-pack our belonging and change rooms since the door lock need to be changed the next morning. To our surprise they moved us to old and dated rooms!!! Reason is hotel fully booked and 3 renovated twin rooms are not available. Only after complaining to the duty manager that we should get an equivalent or even better rooms, we have been given the option, renovated rooms - 2 king rooms and 1 twin room, which we gladly accept. Whole incident took 2 hours, leave us to settle in the new rooms only at midnight. With 2 small kids that almost slept in the hotel lobby during the whole incident, the kids got to choose either chocolate or juices for the inconvenience which is a nice gesture. The service issue is still not stop there, one of the room was not being tidied up on the next day, only after calling the housekeeping they did it immediately. I called it mediocre service, you only got what you want after a bout of asking or even complaining....
