“Ideal location for multicultural travellers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Located in the busy Itaewon district, this boutique hotel offers good value for money. Tastefully decorated lobby and efficient friendly staff makes checking in & out easy for you. The room size is small but the beds and pillows are always crisp and comfortable. The bathrooms are neat and tidy. The lobbys are dark and private. Buffet breakfast is good. Hotel location is excellent as you can walk up to the busy bustling street of Itaewon and shop for souveniers, dresses, shoes, bags and what not. There is a huge variety of restaurants and halal food is easily avaialble in Pakistani, Indian and Turkish restaurants. There is a mosque at a walking distance for prayers and a disco and clubs on the street too. We stayed there twice and I would return again.

“What a gem!”

Just returned from a 6 night stay here. Great hotel in a really convenient location. Just walk out of the hotel and you're surrounded by restaurants serving dishes from all over the world. We found the taxis, buses and the underground are all within easy reach. In fact the airport bus stops right outside the hotel. As we were a large party we had four rooms, all really nice and exactly as photos. Customer service was excellent. We only ate breakfasts in the hotel, we found the food was good, serving everything you could imagine. I noticed the restaurant was full each day with locals as well, always a good sign. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the rooms with a bay. These are situated at left and right hand sides of the front o...

“Nice hotel, great location”

First of all, this hotel is super convenient if you want to take the cheap, comfortable, and efficient bus from and to the airport. It stops literally right in front of the hotel. Also, it is at the far end of the main street of Itaewon and therefore out of the main craziness at night. The staff was gracious and helpful. I never ate in the restaurant because there were so many alternatives nearby and a convenience store right next door. I was able to store some small items in the minibar fridge and appreciated the bottled water and tea and coffee making facilities. I also used the Ipod dock - great! Plenty of electrical outlets also. I had no trouble with the lighting after figuring out the bed side controls, and the bathroom was not a problem since I was alone. For more than one person, the room would be small and although you can't see through the bathroom walls, EVERY sound one makes within the bathroom can be heard in the main room. But the bathroom facilities themselves are excellent. I had a room overlooking mountains to the side - nice view and very quiet except for a little noise from the hallway. The dark hallway is a little weird, but so what? Overall, this place is clean, comfortable, and convenient. You can walk to the Hamilton metro station in under 10 minutes.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room, high floor, good view.

“Positively, not your typical hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

Wife and I stayed for 2 nights during a long weekend.
The decor is interesting, but not in an off-putting way. Staff are extremely helpful and speak English well. I didn't feel the area was particularly noisy, considering you are on the main street (what do you expect?) and there is a lot going on. As mentioned in previous reviews you will find the expat orientated restaurants but there are some local gems, just ask.
Taking the metro or taxi to access the sights is easy and cheap. Recommended and would return.

“Good location.”

The IP Boutique is within walking distance of everything in Itaewon, and the airport bus to Inchon stops right outside. The hotel itself is nice. The rooms are cleaned well each day. As others have mentioned, the hallways are DARK. Not a big problem, but it is a bit strange.

The room card key is strange. It shuts off all the power in the room, mostly. So altering the lighting conditions if you want to sit in less light while watching tv is a bit of a problem. I took the key out to dim the lights, placed it on a table, and then must have knocked it off the table.

That was a problem, as the card is black, and the room is now dark. I couldn't find the key because of this, as much as I searched. I had to call down and have another key brought up which cost like 5 dollars. Of course, as soon as the lights came back on, I saw the key on the floor. The man was like "it's right there". I wanted to explain that, yeah, well, now I know, but I couldn't find it in the dark. But my Korean language is not that good/zero.

Not the end of the world, anyhow. It was brutally cold, as Korea is over Christmas time, so walking around town was tough. Food in the hotel restaurant was fine. I have no real negatives to report about the place. It's good for the money, certainly not Hyatt prices. You should be ok in this hotel.
