We stayed here a few different nights over a 3 week period in Georgia. The first time we came (arriving at 3:30 am) was a bit disappointing. There was only one towel in the washroom, there were "pot holes" in the floor, under the carpet, and the AC did not work well. The breakfast was spartan - although we did arrive just at the end of breakfast time. The other two times were quite good. The rooms were nice and clean, the AC worked perfectly, it was quiet, and the front desk was always friendly and helpful. The breakfast varied from day to day - sometimes there was fresh fruit, yoghurt and hard boiled eggs. Other times it was just a big plate of meat and cheese with some chewy bread. But on the good days, it was more than adequate - nothing special, but acceptable. My only real complaint is the amount of smoking on the part of the staff. Every time we stepped out of our rooms we nearly choked to death. There was constant smoking in the lobby and it filtered up several flights of stairs. Not much you can do about it in a country like Georgia where anti-smoking laws are unheard of, but it certainly made it difficult for someone with asthma. Other than that, I thought it was a nice, clean and quiet hotel, with good service. The area was decent - just off of Rustaveli avenue, and it took about 20 minutes to walk to Old Tbilisi, or about 5 minutes by taxi. An awesome city to see - and a good hotel in which to base yourself.
